I have had my Aerolux travel buggy for approximately 3 years. I just went to Scotland with the chair. I took it right to the plane door and air was there on landing. It took me all for Edinburgh, including the Royal Mile and other famous sites. One of my best purchases!!!!

I recently reached out to Travel Buggy while researching wheelchair options for my mom. I had many conversations with Robbie during which she provided information and videos (including one created specifically at my request) to assist in my decision making.

I ultimately purchased a Travel Buggy GT. Travel Buggy’s 30-day return process took the stress out of ordering the chair knowing we’d have time to adequately ‘test’ it to be sure it would work. The GT is a fantastic chair. Unfortunately, it didn’t meet my mom’s specific needs so we needed to go in a different direction.

The return shipping was quite a challenge, which had nothing to do with Travel Buggy. Rather, the challenges were with the carrier. After sharing this experience with Travel Buggy they, as a gesture of goodwill, charged us less than the amount of their normal return fee. This was very much appreciated.

Having tried out the GT and experiencing the level of service I did, I know that Travel Buggy is a company I would return to in the future.

When we started investigating travel wheelchairs for an upcoming trip to Europe we stumbled
Upon Travel Buggy and boy are we thrilled we did! Right from the first contact via an email question, the service from Robbie has been first class. Questions answered promptly, no pressure just good information. Robbie gone out of her way to ensure that we are informed and satisfied
that the chair we chose was the right choice for us!
We highly recommend Travel Buggy!

I made the best decision in February 2025 and purchased a Travel Buggy Aerolux. It is so lightweight because it is made of carbon fiber. it is easy for my husband to place in the back of our crv. It enables me to have freedom and get out and about. Joystick controller is a plus allowing easy turning. I would highly recommend this to anyone needing help in getting around.

Love the chairs. Have two different models and they are both great. I have a city plus 2 and use the ramps to load it into my suv and it’s great for going out on outings. I’ve taken it all through downtown Boston, even on the rough sidewalks and it holds up great. But the Aerolux is my day to day chair. It’s light and easy to fold up. If I go to an appointment, I don’t have to wait for a wheelchair van, because it folds small enough to fit in most Ubers or Lyfts. My caregiver can easily put it in our car herself and it lasts a full day. It’s also much easier to maneuver than those grocery store carts which are hard for me to manage due to hand strength. Highly recommend.

I have owned a City 2 Plus T?ravel Buggy for a year now. It is the BEST mobility device I have ever used. It is very comfortable and has excellent. battery range. It folds up to be the size of a small suitcase. Major Airlines will allow you to drive to the boarding gate and then they will store it in the luggage comparment for you, so it is availble right after you land. I have yet to find an Uber or taxi it will not fit in, even small compacts like a Toyoya Corolla.
I have taken it Mexico for a month long vacation and it handles th e rough streets and cobblestones. I took iy to the Yukon this summer and it works good on gravel trails (as long as there is not too moch sand.
I would highly recomment this to anyone who has mobility issues, I has allowed me to enjoy my vacatios again and do grocery trips in my neighbourhood.

My 85 year old dad purchased the travel buddy aerolux because he wanted to get back some independence after giving up his lisence. I can honestly say this chair is only good for vey vey short trips of about 1-2 meters. And only in ver very flat surfaces. When outdoors and using it on regular city sidewalks the chair becomes unsafe and pulls to one side depending on the position of the sidewalk ramps. Although the chair has handles, these are not set up to be ergonomically correct for a support person to push the chair or for the user to use the chair as a walker.
The portability of this chair is nice. If you have an aging loved one who needs assistance going from an accessible parking spot to an indoor venue then this will work for that purpose. I do not recommend d for use beyond that as the safety issues others have mentioned and specifically the chair veering to one side are just too great to make this chair a worth while investment.

My City 2 Plus has totally changed my life. When I lost the ability to walk longer distances, my world shrank to next to nothing Now, I can go almost anywhere I used to enjoy, no matter the season.

I'm a big galoot-- 6' 7" and 340 pounds (201cm and 154kg) and the City 2 Plus fits me comfortably, and keeps me zipping along. All day at the Florida theme parks was no problem; the batteries never had less than one green bar left. I never dipped into the yellow "you're running low" range. It handled the hills and cobblestones of Edinburgh, Scotland, like a champ.

The chair folds up so small, it evens fits in the wheelchair closet on commercial aircraft. My City 2 Plus has never had to be stored below on the plane, not even on smaller regional aircraft

Just look at the pictures I've attached. That's a park in Duluth, Minnesota in December. It was only 10 degrees (-12C), and the sidewalks were covered with packed snow. Ninety minutes in the worst possible conditions you could ask of a power wheelchair, covering more than a mile (almost 3km) and the batteries still read as fully charged when we were loading the chair back in the car afterwards. The only way my City 2 Plus could have been better was if it had a heated seat, lol.

If your mobility has become limited, and you are a bigger person like me, you really need to get a Travel Buggy City 2 Plus. It will change your life for the better, freeing you from being a prisoner to your limited mobility.

Robbie was great. She answered all of my questions and more. She explained about the batteries and airline travel and gave me a few tips. The City 2+ wheelchair arrived in tact. It took minutes to unfold, insert the batteries, and attach the joystick. It's a powerful chair that takes upward inclines well at top speed and the battery lasts most of the day without needing a charge. The joy stick is sensitive so on flat surfaces and downward inclines I use a lower speed to keep control. The seat cushion is thick and very comfortable. We remove the seat cushion for maximum folding. Extending the arm rests is very easy. There are tutorials on Youtube to show how to do it. I am a large person and there is plenty of space between the arm rests even without expanding them. I did expand them to keep pressure off my hip as I just had replacement surgery. It comes with a nice pocket on the back, a shallow pocket underneath, and a water bottle holder. City 2+ is the perfect chair for me.

Im sharing my experience with miss Belinda in the warranty department. My city 2 broke a week before family vacation I reached out to Belinda to help me find a solution. Belinda went above and beyond to help me get my chair fixed. I highly recommend travel buggy to anyone in need of a heavy duty travel wheelchair and I highly recommend miss Belinda in the warranty department. She is a great asset to have on your team.

I tried out the City2 model and found that it did not work for me, the controls were VERY touchy and jerky, even in the slow mode. I found the customer service to be very difficult to reach and to get a response from. I ended up returning the unit after trying it only a few days in my home and it was in pristine condition, having only been driven on my wood floors (no dirt, dust, scratches, marks of any kind) and re-packaged as it came in the original packaging, but per policy I was still charged the 15% restocking fee, which on a $3000usd chair, is of course a very excessive $450usd to test a chair in my home for 2 days. There are MUCH better options for chairs (with much better/smoother controls and much more comfortable), I highly suggest that you stay away from this one/company.

Wonderful experience throughout the whole process. Robbie was super helpful, polite, efficient, and let us try out the Dash out in the parking lot, and she went through all of the functions, operations, and warranty. Good sales person as they were not pressuring us to purchase right away. She gave us the run down on the financing. Once ordered, the chair and accessories were able to be picked up the following day. The chair *so far* has worked wonderfully, and has made my partners quality of life significantly better. They also service the chairs at the shop too.

Honest Review of the Travel Buggy — Disappointing and Unsafe

I purchased the Travel Buggy with high hopes for my first trip to Europe, but my experience turned out to be extremely disappointing and concerning. From the outset, the wheelchair was faulty, pulling to the left and struggling to turn properly, which I initially attributed to the flooring. However, problems persisted throughout my trip.

During the trip, the buggy constantly veered to the left even when I pushed right, making it very difficult to control. It sometimes refused to back up, and on a very slight incline, it tipped forward, ejecting me and causing injuries in Barcelona. The chair was clearly not safe for travel or everyday use.

As I used it more, it became apparent that the product was defective. On day 5 or 6 of use, it buckled beneath me, folding unexpectedly and causing me to fall and injure my back significantly. This forced me to go without a wheelchair during the last part of my trip, ruining my experience and causing emotional distress, especially as I was traveling to fulfill a personal promise to my mom after her passing.

I also encountered persistent control issues, poor performance on cobblestone and gravel (despite claims that it handles such surfaces well), and overall unsafe behavior. I had to rely on my son in law to constantly be near me to ensure my safety, and he usually had to push it. The controls often failed, and the chair would tip or malfunction, leaving me in danger. It was impossible to navigate certain terrains, contrary to advertising claims.
.The chair also caused physical damage, leaving tire marks on floors (even with clean tires) and the footplate was continually dragging due to the frame weakening and it leaning forward.

I sent the company videos of the travel buggy malfunctioning in Italy. I wanted proof when I got home that even if I was attempting to turn right, it would veer left. Sometimes it would speed up considerably as it did it, causing me to almost go off curbs and into streets. I also sent a video my son in law made showing it after it broke completely. He showed himself sitting in it and how it would collapse on him.

The company agreed to issue me a full refund on the condition that I sent the buggy back, since I had used it for less than a week. However, after I returned the product, they decided to reimburse me with less than half of the original amount, citing damages. These so-called damages included scratches and scuffs, but they were entirely caused by the buggy’s faulty design and unsafe collapsing on pavement. The product's inherent defects led to the damage, yet they are attempting to blame me and withhold a significant portion of my refund (about $2400) based on issues that were a direct result of their defective and unsafe product.

Furthermore, they are trying to charge me for an extra battery that I never purchased. They also claim I did not return a hook, but I have photographic proof showing it was included in the return shipment they received and THEY photographed. Additionally, they are accusing me of not returning an arm extender, which is not even an original part I received nor compatible with my model. Their attempts to misrepresent the situation and withhold my rightful refund are clearly dishonest and unfair.

Overall, I experienced distress, injury, and a feeling of betrayal by a product that advertised features it could not deliver. It is unsafe, unreliable, and poorly manufactured. My advice to potential buyers is to avoid this product at all costs. It caused me more harm than help, and I strongly caution others before considering this wheelchair.

Had a mishap with our buggy while we were out one day. We could not fix the problem, so we ordered a new controller for our city 2 plus chair. The part came in a timely fashion, but I quickly realized that the charger I have was not going to work. I got on the phone and called Travel Buggy, all lines busy! I left a message and within 15 minutes I recieved a call back. The tech on the phone was able to help me troubleshoot my problems quickly. The level of compassion and customer service was impeccable. I am very impressed and would recommend this product.
Thank you Travel Buggy!

I had a stroke at 18 and refused to get an electric wheelchair just because I would need a special vehicle. For years I used a manual wheelchair and that really limited my independence . Last year I got a travel buggy and it’s really changed my life. I can still fold it up and put it in any vehicle, I can go places on my own and it’s made my work life more efficient. Plus the customer service is top notch

Every interaction with the Travel Buggy staff was exceptional. Robbie, who took my order over the phone, was so friendly and helpful. The City 2 Plus is a fantastic chair. Very pleased with all the features and how rugged it is. This is a huge quality of life improvement over a manual chair, and it still fits easily in the trunk. Thanks so much to everyone at Travel Buggy for this excellent product and service.

Am enjoying my Travel Buggy. Easy to use, comfortable ride and extremely maneuverable. Was so impressed by it, I got one for my brother who is going through same “old age” difficulties. P.S. Whoever said these are the ‘Golden Years” should be drawn and quartered.

I can’t believe how much my Travel Buggy has given me new freedom! My first trip was to a strip mall and I didn’t need anyone’s help! I got to leave my house and talk to people outdoors - it was wonderful. But the best part - I got this to attend a conference and it was amazing! I was able to get to the keyboard and raise the arms and play freely with nothing impeding my reach. I was able to move about freely again and talk to people which I was never able to do in my huge manual wheelchair. I must say it was heavier than expected, but there was always someone willing to help my husband lift it into the SUV. A friend helped at the conference, and strangers would offer to help my husband. He has never tried taking it apart to lift it in pieces. He’s very stubborn. But we bought ramps and a blanket from Harbor Freight so he can roll it in. We haven’t tried them yet, but they’re available if he needs them. All in all, the Travel Buggy has been a wonderful addition to my life!

Excellent service and very high quality product with an excellent design, The product design is very well thought out. Awesome! Thanks!

Finding a travel foldable electric wheelchair has been a challenge. We have now tried 8 different companies. Travel Buggy Aerolux is by far the very best we tried. Customer service has been above all others and service when we have a need is none better. The service and able to delivery a product hat is exactly as promised is there all the time. Service and follow up is also above any of the other 7 we tried. Now the first 3 were me would not fit in the car, next missing parts and lack of follow up. Next 2 promise was never maintained. This Travel Buggy chair does what it says it will do! if you need a light weight electric wheelchair buy this Aerolux
